We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to serve as our QAPI/Infection Preventionist Nurse in our 216-bed Health Care Center.

Job Summary:
The QAPI/Infection Preventionist Nurse will be responsible for planning and overseeing comprehensive quality assurance and infection control programs to ensure compliance with state and federally mandated nursing and resident quality care standards in a long-term care setting.
This individual will perform various compliance functions, including those related to staff development, in-service training, quality assurance, resident review, and infection control.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current, unrestricted license in good standing with VA DHP.
- Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in quality assurance and staff development preferred.
- LTC experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strengths in dealing with residents, families, supervisors, and nursing personnel.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
