Job Information
- This is an afternoon shift position working (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Ensures cycle counting is completed on a weekly basis for all assigned materials.
- Refers to the unit schedule for compound required for production and calculates needed compound per the schedule.
- Weighs and mixes material as specified by established formula.
- De-aerates compounds, operates versator and cleans as needed; changes pumps in batch cans as needed.
- Ensures proper viscosity after mixing and prior to placing a batch into production.
- Prepares all required color composites and dispersions.
- Completes manufacturing orders in computer system utilizing actual mixing amounts to properly relieve inventory.
- Performs assigned Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) responsibilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach for extended periods of time
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment around industrial machinery
- Must pass a background screen (7 years)
- Must pass drug screen
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Excellent math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Strong computer skills; ability to learn Ludlow specific software and spreadsheets including but not limited to Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to use physical exertion such as prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching and climbing; ability to lift up to 50lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to operate forklift in accordance with Ludlow Composites safety policy.
- Ensures compliance with ISO 9001 standards, plant safety policies and procedures and 5S initiatives.
