What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Summer School Teachers position at Ludlow High School?
POSITIONS: All positions are in-person and contingent upon the number of students attending summer school
High School Math Teachers (2 Based upon enrollment) Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, & Geometry
Qualifications: Certification in the appropriate subject area with the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Reports To: Principal or Designee
Job Goal: To provide appropriate, in-person educational summer instruction for students
Terms Of Employment:
●Must attend summer program pre and post meeting as scheduled
●Must be available to teach Monday - Thursday, July 1-July 31, 2025 for Session I: 8:00-10:30 a.m. &/or Session II: 10:45-1:15 p.m.; Preference will be given to teachers who are willing to work both Session I & Session II. No school on July 4, 2025.
●Communicate with students and families regarding student progress
●Regularly assess student learning based on the core academic standards outlined
●Administer and grade pre and post course assessments.
●Teacher must submit student grades and a summary of student performance to the coordinator
Starting Date: July 1, 2025
Pre-program meeting to be schedule any time after May 1, 2025; Post program meeting to take place within 5 days of the end of summer programming

Dates of program:
Beginning July 1, 2025 and ending July 31, 2025 (No School 7/4/25)
Monday – Thursday (No Fridays)
Session I: 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Session II: 10:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
SALARY:Per Session: $1,650 (2 hrs x 19days x $33/hr plus $66 for. pre & post meeting);
Both Sessions I & II: $3,432 (5.25 hrs x 19 days x $33/hr= $3,366 plus $66 hrs. Pre & post meeting)
