-Position Description-
· Customer Service
o Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly.
o Foster a customer-first culture. Train and guide staff on delivering exceptional customer service experiences and ensure a friendly and helpful atmosphere.
· Personnel Management
o Provides ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and assists in conducting regular performance reviews.
o Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional development.
o Assists in creating the daily schedule and assigns tasks to staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and days.
o Assists the operations manager in recruiting, hiring, and training staff members.
· Department Operations
o Oversee cash handling procedures, including the opening and closing of registers, managing cash over/shorts, and ensuring the accuracy of all transactions.
o Implement strategies to optimize checkout lines, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall customer service experience.
o Monitor and adjust staffing levels based on customer flow and demand.
o Monitor and manage inventory levels of front-end supplies, including bags, register paper, and checkout lane inventory.
o Monitor checkout equipment such as registers, scanners, and self-checkouts to ensure proper functionality. Coordinate with tech support to address technical issues promptly.
· Compliance and Safety
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as local, state, and federal food handling guidelines.
o Maintain a clean and organized department to uphold a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
