Senior Software Engineer
LufCo is hiring a Software Engineer to join a small team environment supporting the Army. This is a hybrid (remote and onsite) position, with 40% in-office support at our LufCo office located in Havre de Grace, MD.
The Software Engineer will work in a small, agile team to provide the development environment and improvements to a GPU based wideband spectrum analysis library for military and government RF sensing systems.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:
- Proficient or Mastery in some or all the following development technologies:
- C/C /Java/Python/Shell Scripting
- Google Protocol Buffers
- HTTP Rest APIs
- Docker
- RPMs or equivalent
- CUDA parallel computing platform and programming modeling
- Full Stack development
- Code deployment
- Debug existing software and correct defects
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
- Write or review software, system, and other technical documentation
- Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
- Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
- Ensure functioning of real-time systems and business management information systems
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
What Youll Need:
- Eight (8) years experience as an Engineer or in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field, preferably Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this scope of work
- Current Security Clearance is preferred but not immediately required

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $125,000 to $180,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
