For many years, the only option for student athletes to continue playing sports while at college was to play for their school's varsity or club teams or join a poorly organized and over-policed rec league. LUG was created to provide a better way for student athletes to play casual or competitive sports while at university and college. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
LUG Sports Group is seeking a creative, innovative, and resourceful storyteller to become the next team member as our Video Editor, owning the creation and publishing of content across our social media platforms.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Video Editor and Content Manager will serve as a key member of the Marketing & Sales Department, creating viral video content for our social media accounts and advertisements. Success in this position requires creativity ideation, storytelling, storyboarding, delivery, and analysis.
You will be responsible for telling your story online across multiple platforms in ways that engage and excite.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Brand Building : Creative storyteller capable of producing unique, engaging, and entertaining content within multiple verticals such as Expansion, Advertisements, trending, shorts, highlights, recaps, etc.
Speaking the Language : Communicate shooting objectives with in-field videographers and photographers to support content capture and creation across 50 cities.
Coverage : Establish plans to cover LUG games and events including pre and post-season, game, and event highlights, recaps, and planning to adapt to social media channels.
Organizing : Manage the content portfolio to ensure it is organized and can be used effectively by the team for content creation. Create systems for improved access by internal staff, external partners, and the player community.
ABOUT YOU :
- Proficient in Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, and similar programs.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to keep things simple.
- Passionate about building a premium consumer sports brand.
- Dynamic, energetic, and results-driven with a sense of urgency.
- Innovative and creative thinker that can bring fresh ideas to the table with the ability to execute.
- Strategic thinker who can create, execute, and manage content creation and production.
- Strong communication skills : able to present information (both written and oral) clearly and concisely at all levels within an organization.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to superb execution.
- Works well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where initiative, leadership, influence, and flexibility are drivers for success.
