What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mover/Driver/General Laborer position at Luggers of Wilmington?
"Luggers" are the most important front-line folks of our business. They are the face of the company to our valued customers. This is MORE than a physical labor or driving position. This position entails a huge customer service component.
Tipping is customary in our industry and can add $5 to $10 per hour to a Luggers wages. We offer a 401(k) to employees with a 4% match and an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Hourly wages vary between $14 to $18 plus cash tips that are typically add $5 to $10 per hour to a Luggers wages.
Luggers of Wilmington is the caring, eco-friendly alternative to traditional junk removal and moving services in the Cape Fear region. • Be able/willing to promptly commute to the Luggers of Wilmington's location in Belville, NC. Job Logistics
• The Junkluggers & Luggers Moving of Wilmington's Hours of Operation: Weekday & Weekend Shifts Available! (Must be flexible with your schedule, and while hours may vary week to week, this position is best designed to be your main focus)
• Ability to lift 50 - 100 pounds continuously
• Familiar with driving/navigating the Cape Fear region.
• Any Sales/Customer Service Experience is a PLUS!
Driving Requirements (ONLY Required IF Interested in a DRIVERS POSITION)
• Valid drivers license is REQUIRED for this particular position.
• CDL License is NOT required for this position.
• For insurance purposes, drivers must be a minimum age of 21 years old.
• 2-3 years of violation-free and accident-free driving is required for all company drivers.
About The Junkluggers & Luggers Moving:
• Applicant must be a friendly, highly motivated, and able to communicate effectively with our valued customers. You must also be physically fit and able to lift substantial weight. Added bonus if you have experience driving a small truck and moving furniture/heavy items in close corridors.
• This is a DRIVING POSITION, so the applicant must meet all company's insurance requirements in order to be considered for this position. CDL NOT REQUIRED.
• Applicant should be an energetic, well-organized, creative problem solver and goal-oriented team player who loves a challenging and fun environment.
• Applicant should be looking to work hard, own your paycheck, and gain hands-on real world business experience. Applicant should also be committed to reaching your full potential in a supportive learning environment.
• This is NOT an office position, so the applicant should enjoy working in the field and from a truck through out the day.
