Lugo Plastic Surgery is a boutique plastic surgery practice specializing in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Dr. Liana Lugo is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in mommy makeovers and facial rejuvenation.

The ideal candidate is upbeat and genuinely enjoys helping people. As an integral part of the patient care team, you must always have a warm and welcoming demeanor. Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude are required.

This is a PRN position. You will work in the OR as a surgical tech and in the clinic as a medical assistant. You must be flexible and willing to shift between roles as needed.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Office:

• Gather information and patient history including medical history sheet, medications, allergies, and lab work
• Assist Dr. Lugo as needed with examinations, measurements, and photos
• Remove and apply dressing, apply garments, topical anesthetic, cold packs, etc, as directed by Dr. Lugo
• Monitor clinical supply inventory and inform Dr. Lugo when supplies need to be ordered
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, check patients in and out

OR:

• Prepare the OR for surgery, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment
• Maintain a sterile environment by following proper infection control protocols
• Assist surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed
• Assist with positioning and draping the patient during surgery
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Clean and maintain the OR before and after procedures

Qualifications

• Patient care expertise
• 3 years of experience in a medical office, surgery center or hospital
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience in plastic surgery procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
