Restaurant​​​​​​​​​​ Dishwashe​r Job​​ Description/Position Overview

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment while ensuring sanitation standards are consistently met in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, silverware, cooking equipment, and utensils
• Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment
• Sort and organize clean items and return them to appropriate storage areas
• Pre-scrape and rinse dirty dishes before washing
• Keep dishwashing area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
• Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed (washing vegetables, etc.)
• Empty garbage and maintain trash/recycling areas
• Follow all health department regulations and safety procedures
• Assist in washing/ironing of table clothes and other linens

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Friendly personality, willingness to help others
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as scheduled. (We are closed on all major holidays).

Sche​dule

• Full time position is preferred, will consider part-time.
• Must be willing to work an 8-10 hour shift. 5-6 days a week.
• Typical shifts range from 6:00 AM until 2:00-4:00 PM

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
