Retail Associate/Customer Service

Luke & Co. Fine Pet Supply & Outfitter is looking for a full time product expert (customer service/retail associate). Come GET PAID to pet dogs (and cats), laugh and be a part of our small team of 7. We have a small group plan with Anthem Blue Cross. You will also become eligible for paid time off after 1 year with us (2 weeks PTO after year 1 and 3 weeks PTO after year 2). You can cash out your unused PTO each year. You will receive pet food at cost and all the toys, treats, leashes/collars and supplements at 25% off. We are in search of a dedicated human who is genuinely interested in sinking their teeth into the pet world. Luke the owner is in the store every day and will be training you one-on-one. Starts at $21/hr benefits. MUST BE ABLE TO DELIVER 3 DAYS PER WEEK WITH YOUR OWN VEHICLE. You will receive your hourly wage $2 per delivery $.50/mile TIPS. You will need to carry your own insurance and registration just like other delivery shops. We usually have about 2-3 deliveries per day so this is not a huge part your job.

Responsibilities/necessities:

Able to work weekends and evenings until 8:15 p.m.

Able to read, write and speak proper English

Able and willing to deliver outstanding customer service- to go above and beyond what is expected

Able to stand for 4-6 hours at a time

Self-motivated to learn about the 2300 products we carry

LOVES PETS (especially dogs and/or cats)

Owns a dog or cat

Must have customer service experience

Must have problem solving skills

Must be proficient with Windows and a modern day Point of Sale (POS) system

Must maintain a clean and well-kept appearance (shower regularly etc.)

Can lift 51 lbs. (horse feed, dog food etc.)

Must have an upbeat and positive attitude

Must have a resume ready to submit

Must be punctual and dedicated

Not necessary but gets you extra points if:

You have experience with scheduling appointments (i.e. at a hair salon, spa or other dog grooming facility)

You have experience in the pet industry

You have some management experience

You have a flexible schedule

You have face or neck tattoos that cannot be covered up (arms, legs etc. are JUST FINE!)
