What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Lukeman Property Management?
Maintenance Tech position available for a local scattered site property management company downtown Kalamazoo. Must be a motivated and self-directed individual who is able to communicate with associates, tenants and managers.
Schedule is flexible for right candidate, however, 40 hours a week are required. Would be extremely interested in a candidate willing to work weekends with time off Mon-Friday. Company vehicle provided during work hours and while on call after hours. Job requires some transporting of materials to and from job sites, the maintenance shop etc. All properties are located within a short distance of one another downtown Kalamazoo.
Qualified candidates include those with general experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing or general handyman skills. Drywall and exterior repairs such as foundation work, wood replacement, small roof repair is highly desirable. HVAC background is a plus. Basic tools required. Ability to use smart phone application for work order tracking.
TWO years of maintenance/handyman experience preferred. Candidates must have a vehicle and a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. Must be able to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders over 32 feet and able to work outdoors in all seasons. Must be willing to take 24 hour emergency calls one week a month (time 1/2 paid for after hour maintenance response). Company cell phone provided.- Pay determined on experience.
