What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Purchasing/Receiving position at LuLu's Landing Inc?
Summary: The Purchasing/Receiving primary duties include ensuring the correct inventory has been received and processed upon delivery, and ensuring all invoices are submitted.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures all materials and supplies are available and sets up designated workstation(s) according to established guidelines. Stocks as needed
- Maintains a clean workstation and assists in overall storage cleanliness, including cleaning all equipment
- Empties trash on a regular basis. Removes boxes and other discarded items from the BOH receiving area
- Cleans and stocks
- Adheres to sanitation standards for cleaning products utilized in the kitchen (i.e. sanitizer stations/buckets)
- Restocks, cleans and breaks down workstation(s) as designated
- Cleans and stocks employee break areas and restrooms on a regular basis
- Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigned
- Assists in other purchasing functions to ensure smooth and efficient operation
- Checks in on a regular basis with Purchasing Manager for assignments
- Other duties in connection with organizational effectiveness as assigned by above supervisory staff

Health & Safety: Adheres to all policies and procedures to prevent safety hazards and reports all hazards to supervisor in a timely manner. Maintains personal hygiene and grooming standards. Maintains sanitation standards by washing hands frequently. Follows proper lifting techniques. Adheres to safe handling/use instructions for all chemicals. Attends meetings, training sessions, and seeks out information to stay current on health, safety, and wellness issues.

Regular attendance is required. Work is routine in nature, completed at the direction of management with limited independent discretion. Manual dexterity required in the use of equipment, tools, supplies, and food items. Work is often completed under stressful conditions; in a fast paced, often crowded, excessively hot and noisy environment. Work tasks may expose individuals to varying weather, temperature, and landscape conditions (i.e. heat, cold, rain, wind, grass, sand, rocks, etc.)
Business demand often requires long work hours. Schedules require workers to work early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
