Overview:

In your role as a Lead Montessori Guide, you are entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating and implementing an educational curriculum that aligns with Montessori principles and promotes holistic development. Your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and assessment and evaluation is essential in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students. Effective communication with parents, colleagues, and students plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration and supporting student learning both inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, your commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that you stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in Montessori education, further enhancing your ability to positively impact student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Implementation

Understand and integrate Montessori philosophy into curriculum planning and implementation.

Action Plan:

  • Organize workshops and training sessions on Montessori philosophy.
  • Encourage reflective practice among guides.
  • Arrange observation and feedback opportunities.
  • Integrate Montessori principles into curriculum planning.

Classroom Overall Management

Create and maintain a positive, organized, and stimulating learning environment.

Action Plan:

  • Optimize classroom setup and organization.
  • Establish consistent routines and procedures.
  • Develop and implement behavior management strategies.
  • Conduct safety audits and prepare emergency protocols.

Student Assessment and Evaluation

Accurately measure student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual learning needs.

Action Plan:

  • Train guides on various assessment tools and techniques.
  • Implement a systematic approach to data collection and analysis.
  • Establish protocols for regular progress monitoring.
  • Support portfolio development to showcase student achievements.

Communication Lead Liaison

Serve as the primary communication liaison between parents, colleagues, and school administration.

Action Plan:

  • Provide training on effective communication strategies.
  • Establish clear communication channels for parents.

Requirements:

  • CPR certification and First Aid training are desirable.
