What are the responsibilities and job description for the CG Supervisor (Expression of Interest) position at Luma Pictures?
Luma is looking for talented CG Supervisor to join our Vancouver team!

All positions are Work From Home roles. Candidates must currently reside in British Columbia., Canada, and have the legal right to work in Canada to be considered only.
\n- Work closely with VFX Supervisor, Production Managers, coordinators, artists, and other necessary departments in creating high quality visual effects
- Provide clear direction to all CG departments, setting clear objectives and monitoring the process, progress and results
- Supervise the artist in achieving all technical aspects of production including assets dev, rigging, animation, lighting, and FX
- Keep up on current technology trends and tools (hardware and software) that best suits the production in the development of a stronger creative technical environment
- Train the team members and review their work, ensuring high standard results
- Work closely with Production Management to provide a task breakdown and estimates per project
- Ensure that all teams are working efficiently and productively and are on target to meet all milestones and deadlines
- Assess and determine new talent with the help of the production and staffing team along with assisting in the actual interview process
- A thorough understanding of the visual effects process and the ability to interpret the artistic brief from the VFX Supervisor
- A proven ability to ensure artists’ work is of a high standard on both technical and creative levels as well as being able to motivate a team
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- 3-5 years as CG Supervisor in the VFX industry, preferably in the film space
