What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Service Assistant, you’ll bring the LUMA Playbook to life by:

• Responding Promptly: Quickly address all maintenance requests, including A/C and appliance repairs, handling most within three days.
• Performing Preventive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure everything runs efficiently, from routine checks to hands-on repairs.
• Preparing Units for New Residents: Get vacant units ready for the next resident by painting, carpet cleaning, and performing necessary repairs.
• Supporting Leadership: Assist the Service Manager with team leadership, budget-saving suggestions, and inventory management to keep operations smooth.
• Maintaining Professionalism: Always present yourself professionally and foster a positive, friendly environment for residents and team members.
• Being On Call: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to handle emergency maintenance needs as they arise.

Qualifications

Who You Are

You’re a dedicated, hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You’ll excel in this role if you:

• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Have at least two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance.
  • Education: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Possess a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual is a plus!).
  • Tools & Transportation: Own your own tools and have a vehicle with current insurance.
  • Certifications: Hold a CFC certification with a Type II EPA certification.
  • Driver’s License: Have a valid, active driver’s license.
  • Team Player: Willing to pitch in with tasks like groundskeeping or painting when needed.
