Position Description
The Multi-media Designer will support the Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS) and be assigned to directly support the PEO LS Public Affairs Officer Lead by providing visual aid products in support of the mission. Products may include original graphic scroller images, posters and flyers, printed/digital publications, display designs, executive briefs, and basic print jobs. The Multi-media designer will be responsible for providing visual information services to create a variety of visually compelling materials to inform internal and external stakeholders regarding important acquisition topics and other information.

Position Description

The Multi-media designer will be responsible for providing visual information services to create a variety of visually compelling materials to inform internal and external stakeholders regarding important acquisition topics and other information.
Responsibilities
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the development, editing, and providing multi-media solutions in support of the PEO LS.
- Assist in the management of visual aid tasks by using established procedures for tracking the work.
- Support PEO team with graphics requests using current standards.
- Support efforts pertaining to branding management.
- Assess the purpose and target audience of a proposed publication or presentation to ensure products are designed and delivered with end audience in mind.
- Prepare sketches and preliminary layouts to convey proposed visual solutions.
- Conduct digital, online, and/or manual research to select relevant data and art from varied sources.
- Advise subject matter experts, photographers, editors and others who contribute to the development of visual media.
- Produce and edit video and provide oversight and recommendation for multimedia projects.
- Provide professional, creative expertise to develop, upload and monitor content of the PEO’s web presence. Ensure web content is consistent with the PEO brand, voice, style, and tone. Design/modify website visuals in accordance with industry standard guidelines. Troubleshoot issues with the public facing website.
- Possess content-creation skills, with the ability to adapt style, tone, and voice to varied content types and audiences, while staying on-brand and on-message.
- Analyze the performance of published content by reference to website analytics and search engine optimization data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the Government.
- Work with the PEO LS Public Affairs Officer Lead to set and track project milestones and provide updates via video.
- Offer creative direction that incorporates the PEO brand; offer recommendations to set the direction for filming, including but not limited to: storyboarding, identifying shot lists, developing talking points for film participants, basic script writing, and developing questions for interviews.
- Develop graphics arts concepts and procure through third part vendor.
- Work with the Government and develop an approach to conducting field shoots and prepare on-site locations for filming.
- Develop, provide input, and submit for review, documentation required to meet contract obligations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and 7-9 years of experience in the areas of branding, marketing and customer communications is required preferably supporting a government program office
- Must be proficient in Adobe Master Suite Collection
- Proficiency with AFPIMS (American Forces Public Information Management System)
- Proficient in using Urchin for metrics measurement and analysis
- Proficient in web page development and support
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SharePoint
