Job Description

The Millwork Sales candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in architectural millwork and moulding sales to be considered. Essential duties and responsibilities : Sell millwork products for the company.

Essential duties and responsibilities : Sell millwork products for the company :

  • Optimize the sales of our existing customers in the assigned territory;
  • Develop and maintain a sales and support plan for the territory.
  • Carry out business development in the territory and identify market opportunities nearby;
  • Be sure to provide accurate information to our customer service to maximize satisfaction and meet customer needs as efficiently as possible;
  • Focus on exceeding customer expectations by striving to better understand their needs;
  • Introduce existing and new products to our existing and new customers.
  • Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

Education and / or Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in architectural millwork and moulding sales.
  • Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office as well as other business and sales software programs.
  • Mathematical Skills

  • Basic math skills including the ability to calculate product usage / coverage, footage conversions from board footage to linear footage.
  • Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with customer related issues in an organized and efficient manner. Ability to formulate strategies consistent with company mission and strategies, complete pre-call plans, prepare detailed sales forecasts, and prepare specific assignments.
  • Communications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers. High level interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel by automobile for extended periods. Ability to stand for extended periods at trade shows and similar events. Some lifting of heavy packages, up to 50 pounds, is involved.
  • Work Environment

  • Most of the time will be spent in automobile traveling and also working at customer locations. Occasional time is spent in a business office with moderate noise; such as; computers, printers, and light traffic. Occasional time is spent at trade shows where a great deal of time is spent standing while dealing with attendees. Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
