POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Cabinet and Design Specialist, you will play a key role in designing innovative kitchen layouts, performing takeoffs for multifamily projects, conducting virtual cabinet training, and offering technical support to our network of dealers. You will also collaborate with our sales team, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for our customers.
- Design Kitchen Layouts: Use 2020 Design Software to create functional, kitchen designs that meet customer specifications.
- Takeoffs for Multifamily Projects: Perform detailed takeoffs for multifamily projects, ensuring precise measurements and cabinetry specifications are met.
- Cabinet Training: Conduct virtual cabinet training sessions for dealers, providing guidance on product features and design practices.
- Field Training: Assist with training new designers hired by our dealers on Lumbermen's cabinet lines at dealer locations.
- Dealer Support: Assist our network of kitchen & bath retailers and lumberyards by providing advice on kitchen designs, cabinetry options, and technical product questions.
- Sales Team Assistance: Support the sales team with cabinet-related expertise, helping them address customer inquiries and secure sales.
- Newsletters: Coming up with content for Lumbermen's Marketing team to use in newsletters.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, product innovations, and software advancements, applying that knowledge to all design projects and customer interactions.
- Product Show: Design show layout and displays for Lumbermen's Product Show.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency in 2020 Design Software (required).
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry and kitchen design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
