Finish Supervisor

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The person in this role would be responsible for leading the Finish Line operation and develop the finish team to paint and stain entry doors. They will make sure the team works safely while producing quality work and reducing scrap. The Finish Supervisor will have full ownership of managing the finish operation including material ordering/management, equipment operation and PMs, people training and staffing, and completing schedules on time. This role reports to the Door Division Operations Manager with specific day-to-day responsibilities to include:

• Manage and develop a team, providing support, guidance, and coaching to help them achieve their full potential
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the paint line to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Utilize technical tools and equipment to manage inventory and track painting operations, developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Troubleshoot any issues related to painting equipment, processes, or procedures, working closely with other departments to ensure that production goals are met.
• Provide training and coaching to team members, encouraging and motivating them to improve their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA requirements, maintaining a clean and organized painting area.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to address any questions or concerns related to painting operations.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma/GED required
• 1-3 years' experience in finish operations strongly desired

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Able to handle tasks with a sense of responsibility and urgency
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and possesses strong time-management skills
• Has an affinity for working with numbers
• Able to work through conflicts with vendors while maintaining and fostering strong relationships
• Able to work independently and with others
• Intermediate or above proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with a warehouse management software and ERP system
• Working knowledge of DMSi/Agility software a plus
