The Role
The Store Manager is responsible for creating a world class experience for all guests and staff. The role reports directly to the District Manager and works with the Assistant Store Manager, Leads and Luminaries (budtenders) in carrying out all retail operations in the store, including, but not limited to, inventory control, register operations, customer service, payroll budgeting, employee interactions, and by performing other functions as assigned. The Store Manager must understand business needs, drive sales to maximize profitability, continue development of leaders/staff and ensure visual and operational standards are met consistently in the store per company standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete understanding of all operations and procedures pertaining to Lume retail operations.
- Participate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Create and reinforce a proactive selling culture that focuses on building a confident and motivated team to drive sales.
- Drives business results by maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses, and improving metrics through consistent leadership.
- Manage, supervise, and direct the activities of the dispensary team to ensure safety for our guests and maintain a healthy/positive work environment.
- Provide consistent developmental feedback that empowers/motivates the entire store team including leadership & sales staff.
- Provide Consistent local market analysis feedback to Senior Leadership.
- Address issues that arise from employees or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
- Ensure the Dispensary remains compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations posted from Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA)
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, and profits etc.
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
- Manage and report financial records/cash handling procedures in store and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure all provided education is completed within specified timeline for all team members.
- Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Serve as a liaison to the local community, be involved with Grassroots/community engagement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- 7 years of experience in a retail environment.
- 5 years management experience, preferably in retail.
- 2 years of cannabis related retail experience preferred.
- College degree preferred; High School diploma required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal management skills.
- Thorough understanding of Profit and Loss Reports.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Proven successful experience as a retail leader and driving profitability.
