Senior Scrum Master – Program & Portfolio Management
Location: Reston, VA
Job Overview
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will lead cross-functional teams or Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to achieve goals using Agile, SAFe, Scrum, and Lean methodologies. This role fosters a culture of continuous improvement, drives collaboration, and ensures value delivery by removing blockers, guiding teams, and enhancing performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies like PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and retrospectives.
- Drive team progress by improving flow, quality, and predictability.
- Remove impediments and ensure alignment with objectives.
- Promote Lean-Agile practices and mindset across teams.
- Enhance collaboration with stakeholders and supporting teams.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field (or 4 additional years of experience).
- Experience: 8 years in Agile/Lean methods, 3 years as a Scrum Master.
- Preferred: Healthcare industry and data experience, SAFe Certification.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and change management skills.
- Proficiency in Agile tools and Microsoft Office.
Certifications
- Required: Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- Preferred: SAFe Scrum Master, CSP, or Release Train Engineer certifications.
