A government agency is seeking a Software Developer 2 to support, enhance, and optimize database performance for a large-scale project. The candidate will work extensively with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, focusing on performance tuning of stored procedures and views. The role requires problem-solving, collaboration with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring the accuracy of reports.
This position follows a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and employs Agile development methodologies to implement code changes for defined releases.
<>Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries, including handling JSON/XML data.
- Write and refine complex Oracle queries to reduce resource consumption (SGA/PGA/TempSpace).
- Store, query, and manipulate JSON data within Oracle database tables.
- Optimize stored procedures and views for performance efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in Agile development cycles.
- 7 years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including advanced concepts like bulk collect and JSON/XML handling.
- 7 years of experience writing and optimizing complex Oracle queries.
- 7 years of experience in technical documentation.
- 4 years of experience handling JSON data in Oracle databases, including creating complex queries and optimizing stored procedures/views.
- Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies and unit testing.
