Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Purpose:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing large-scale or complex projects to ensure successful delivery of objectives, on time and within budget. The role involves engaging and motivating cross-functional teams, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring seamless end-to-end leadership for implementations, integrations, business readiness, and communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and initiate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, track schedules, and mitigate risks. Sequence and oversee complex initiatives from start to finish.
- Provide end-to-end project management support, including deliverable tracking, reporting, and documentation. Act as a liaison across all areas to ensure effective communication of goals, scope, progress, and project completion.
- Provide direction and motivation to project teams in a matrixed environment. Foster a collaborative culture, manage relationships with key stakeholders, and lead project execution.
- Evaluate the implications of current or proposed projects, programs, processes, and policies to recommend improvements.
- Perform advisory consulting with a strategic focus, aligning project outcomes with corporate goals.
- Synthesize complex topics into concise executive-level presentations and influence decision-making.
- Collaborate with IT to translate business needs into actionable technology-related plans.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years as a project manager or team lead managing large budgets.
- Preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum projects, methodologies, and principles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Expertise in project planning and life cycle development.
- Ability to manage staff onboarding and offboarding throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strategic thinking with an understanding of corporate goals and functional integration.
- Strong data synthesis and executive-level presentation skills for complex topics.
- Advanced stakeholder management, including facilitating high-level meetings with executives.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels, including C-Suite.
- Proficiency in identifying strategic opportunities with significant organizational impact.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
