Litigation Paralegal
Our firm is seeking a skilled and dynamic Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters across state and federal courts. Bankruptcy experience and familiarity with superior courts outside of Maricopa County are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process incoming and outgoing pleadings and correspondence to ensure compliance with calendaring and noticing requirements.
- Electronically format and file legal documents in superior, district, appellate, and bankruptcy courts.
- Communicate effectively with courts, clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
- Organize and maintain documents for discovery, contested hearings, and trials.
- Prepare case files and assist with the drafting of pleadings.
- Coordinate the service and notice of legal documents.
- Provide litigation support, including research, drafting indexes, summaries, and creating spreadsheets.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience, including trial and evidentiary hearing involvement.
- Paralegal certification.
- In-depth knowledge of rules and procedures for superior, federal, and appellate courts.
- Proficiency in electronic filing procedures for state and federal courts.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate case needs, prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Strong drafting skills for initial pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Westlaw, and Adobe applications.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with all parties, counsel, and agencies involved in legal proceedings.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative with a team-oriented mindset.
