Lumetta is a 'Made to Order Manufacturer". This position is the initial point of contact between Lumetta Inc. and its customers and its sales representatives. The position performs a wide range of order entry and customer service functions, interfacing via telephone and email communications, The work encompasses the product quotation function, which ultimately leads to entry of sales orders. The position will also interact with shipping, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and engineering departments to ensure the customer’s custom order is entered accurately for manufacturing purposes. The role requires an individual with a “service-oriented” and “detail-oriented” mindset, who also possesses the ability to take ownership for resolving issues and making it easy for customers to do business with Lumetta.
Responsibility and Duties:
- Enter sales order in the ERP accounting software, adhering to the pricing policy, and obtaining all required documentation to support accurate production.
- Answer questions and process sales orders from customers promptly.
- Active listener and possess ability to take direction from others.
- Responsible for weekly status follow-up, and sending order confirmation, pro forma invoice, in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Communicate estimated and actual ship dates to customers.
- Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource.
- Maintain the records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments and complaints.
- Calculate freight cost and arrange for shipments with carriers.
- Prepare BOL and UPS labels and packing slips for all outgoing orders.
- Gather information regarding customer complaints or product damages
- Skills and Minimum Requirements:
- 2 year’s in the lighting industry or manufacturing work experience preferred.
- High School diploma or general education degree required.
- Basic Understanding of electrical manufacturing practice and principles, a plus.
- Great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done.
- Experience with alpha and numeric filing, and ERP accounting systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must possess a strong ability to communicate clearly in English, oral and written form.
- Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material.
- Time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry, occasionally up to 20 pounds.
- Able to walk up and down stairs multiple times a day.
- Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to type at least 30 wpm, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
