What are the responsibilities and job description for the North America Business Development & Sales Manager LiDAR Systems position at Lumibird Photonics USA, Inc.?
As the North America Business Development & Sales Manager LiDAR Systems, you will be primarily responsible for the development and growth of the North American markets for Coherent systems, Time of Flight LiDAR Systems and Range Finders for non-military applications.
Essential Functions:
- Act as the liaison between the company and our key customers in North America.
- Develop niche markets in line with strategy developed by the LiDAR Systems MD and team, including Wildfire Direction & Tracking, Sailing & Kite propulsion of Container ships, Wind Sheer surveillance for Airports, Vertiport and Taxi Drone Corridors, etc.
- Hire and manage the role of TSS for North America
- Close a distributor contract and manage distribution of LiDAR Systems through the chosen distributor.
- Focused development of sales in the Wind Power Industry; wind measurement for future wind farms and optimization of existing wind farms.
- Reach and influence Renewable National Labs to buy and test the LiDARs and make them.
- Sell LiDAR Systems to Wind Power Scientists from Universities and R&D of private companies.
- Focus on the objective of increasing sales and maintaining high margins over the next two to three years.
- Complete ownership of the sales process; including trade show coverage, lead generation and qualification, positioning of product, evaluations of sales opportunity, customer procurement, and post-sales support.
- Define and execute a sales strategy meet sales and margin targets.
- Understand competitor’s offerings and how products and services compare.
- Proactive analysis of customer needs and issues, and problem solving to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage Key Accounts from sales through receivables as assigned.
- Provide accurate opportunity and territory forecast based on both prospect pipeline and market analysis.
Qualifications:
- S. or higher in physical science, Engineering or Lasers/Electro-Optics with 5 years of professional customer support and/or sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to create strong, long-lasting relationships with high-value clients.
- Exceeds in learning new technologies and a strong affinity for presenting this technology clearly and succinctly to customers and colleagues.
- Excellent documentation and note-taking skills.
- The drive and ability to work on their own and part of a team.
- Ability to obtain a passport.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Travel requirement up to 50%, including international travel, with a focus of maximizing customer contact during travel.
- Must be capable of working in front of a computer for long periods of time.
- The candidate must be able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds with minimal assistance.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
