Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems design. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative solutions for substation layout, overhead transmission, and distribution line design.
This is an on-site position based in Rapid City, SD. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Substation Layout & Design: Create and refine designs for electrical substations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.
- Transmission & Distribution Line Engineering: Design and analyze overhead transmission and distribution lines, applying technical expertise to enhance grid performance.
- Relay Protection & Implementation: Develop and apply relay protection schemes to safeguard power systems, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Software Utilization: Utilize advanced design and coordination software, including SKM or ETAP to enhance project accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- 4 years of relevant experience in power systems engineering
- Strong proficiency with power system design software and analytical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
