Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess manufacturing procedures using quality metrics such as efficiency and speed.
- Provide cost assessments for both new and ongoing projects.
- Develop, test, and implement manufacturing procedures.
- Analyze production and machinery needs.
- Create and evaluate effective automated and manual systems.
- Design and install equipment.
- Implement manufacturing processes that ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Organize and oversee manufacturing workflows and resources.
- Enhance facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network efficiency.
- Address and resolve production issues and delays.
- Seek methods to cut costs and improve quality.
- Train staff on both new and existing processes.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing practices.
- Upgrade systems and processes with the latest technology.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications (including licenses and certifications):
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role or similar position.
- Strong medical device background
- Expertise in manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, and tool design.
- Proficiency with manufacturing equipment and quality control methods.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Skilled in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office).
- Competent in project management.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
