JOB TITLE: Crew Member
JOB CLASS: Hourly, Full Time
JOB HOURS: Typically, M-F 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with possible variations to accommodate specific project requirements. Occasional overtime, weekend and night work is required. Work is onsite.
We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's policies (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years). A CDL-A license is a plus.
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout NC and other states as required.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions on busy secondary roads and major highways.
- Must pass drug screen.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation physical.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Road construction work experience a plus.
- Set up traffic control lane closures.
- Heavy equipment operator experience a plus.
- Traffic signal work, tolling experience.
- Flagging traffic. Maintenance of Traffic experience a plus.
- Set poles by shoveling or picking; fills anchor holes. Cement work.
- Clear undergrowth from right-of-way by using hand tools or saws.
- Fulfill the company tool list requirements.
- Complete and turn in required personal and project paperwork.
- Responsible for maintaining and renewing required certifications and licenses.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Abide by all the company safety rules.
- Wear proper PPE while on the job site and in the yard for lifting operations including Safety-toed work boots, safety vest, work gloves, and hard hat.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
