Lumina is looking for an Electrical Technician to join our Energy Services Maintenance team in Palm, Pennsylvania. As an Electrical Technician on our Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' solar systems operate at peak performance. Your responsibilities will include thoroughly troubleshooting and diagnosing any electrical issues or system malfunctions that may arise. You will be expected to perform detailed repairs and maintenance tasks to restore and maintain the optimal functionality of the solar systems.

Lumina is looking for an Electrical Technician to join our Energy Services Maintenance team in Palm, Pennsylvania. As an Electrical Technician on our Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' solar systems operate at peak performance. Your responsibilities will include thoroughly troubleshooting and diagnosing any electrical issues or system malfunctions that may arise. You will be expected to perform detailed repairs and maintenance tasks to restore and maintain the optimal functionality of the solar systems.
In This Role, You'll Get To
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical maintenance issues on pre-existing installations for residential customers
- Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices associated with Solar PV systems
- Perform electrical inspections and maintenance tasks with precision and expertise
- Ensure all electrical systems meet company standards, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and other relevant local codes
- Coordinate and communicate with electrical inspectors on projects
- Complete the installation of products associated with residential PV systems, such as critter guards and EV chargers
- Pull materials and stock the company vehicle for the day's jobs, ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and in order
- Support job safety and crew operations, including staging materials, providing site work support, assisting with site preparation, and cleanup
- Provide regular updates on job status, complete necessary paperwork, and take photos as required
- Provide guidance and support to team members on proper electrical repair techniques and troubleshooting methods to ensure successful project execution
- Offer customer support for troubleshooting system issues and maintain professional correspondence with customers
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team
- Perform removals and re-installations of pre-existing installations, general service work, and any other job duties assigned by your manager
- Adhere to all of Lumina’s company policies and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
- Valid Journeyman or Master’s Electrician license (Highly preferred)
- 2 years of Solar electrical experience
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to read and interpret Electrical line drawings
- Ability to read building plans and equipment manuals
- Proficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials
- Knowledge of electrical systems, both AC and DC, including troubleshooting, wiring, and assembly
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical installation projects
- Experience with roofing repairs and maintenance is a plus
- Capability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periods
- Experience and comfort working in attics and confined spaces
- Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
- Must be proficient in the use of smartphones and tablets, utilizing them effectively for communication, accessing job-related apps and software, documenting work progress, and staying connected with team members and supervisors as required
- Proven track record of reliable attendance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every job
- Position requires passing a drug screening and background check
- A valid driver’s license is required for all positions at Lumina
