The role
The Seasonal Laborer & Support Technician will assist Luminate Field Staff to deliver an exceptional experience to Luminate Broadband's residential and business customers. They will be responsible for performing various physical tasks to support operations, maintenance, and installation activities. This role involves manual labor, equipment handling, and assisting skilled workers to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This is a seasonal role with a maximum of 1,000 working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Fiber Technicians in installing, connecting, and troubleshooting fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) and fixed wireless solutions for residential and commercial
- Aerial fiber installations
- Under Ground (UG) conduit and fiber installations
- Radio Frequency equipment installations
- Assist with warehouse, yard, and job site organization, keeping items stocked and space orderly.
- Assist Tier II Support Tech in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing customer internet services.
- Fiber Repair
- Equipment Replacement
- WIFI Troubleshooting and setup
- Assist Outside Plant Engineer to audit and map Luminate's Fiber Plant
- Aerial Audit
- UG Audit
- Site Visit for plant design
- Other duties as assigned.
Key skills
- Customer service-focused with a high degree of

- Able to work in both underground and aerial environments climbing ladders and within a bucket truck.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite and collaborative software
- Focused on teamwork and able to collaborate with colleagues to work toward resolving customer needs.

- Able to work with various fiber hand tools and software applications, both common and proprietary to Luminate Broadband.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's
