What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Dept. Administrator position at Luminex Home Dcor and Fragrance?
This is a challenging role in the Regulatory Compliance Team, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing Safety Data Sheets, and coordinating with global compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide review and support to product development, brand & marketing, legal, and other departments from regulatory compliance perspective and a product stewardship.
- Analyze, understand, and communicate risks associated with raw materials and products to internal stakeholders.
- Actively support the design and implementation of tools and systems to assure compliance with local and global chemical control legislation.
- Coordinate and assist in special projects as assigned, including periodic reports of REACH, EPA Environmental and pesticide establishment, fragrance CMR, OSHA air survey, non-candle consumer product testing, PCN submission, CLP labeling process, Tier ll, SARA, RCRA and FIFRA min risk pesticide etc.
Requirements
- Preferred experience in chemical and/or discrete manufacturing under a formal product regulatory discipline.
- Knowledgeable in 2 or more of the following areas: Haz-com program and associated systems, global chemical inventory and substance notification, OSHA, REACH, CLP, GHS, consumer product review and labeling, JDE system, new product assessment, composition of chemically formulated consumer products, chemical wet testing, fragrance ingredients.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on streamline regulatory and compliance functions and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven personnel and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
