**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform high-quality ultrasound diagnostic and routine procedures within designated timeframes and quality standards.
- Participate in biopsies of organs and prepare patients for specific procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and productivity issues.
- Obtain relevant clinical data before sonographic examinations and record significant patient information upon completion.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and procedure manuals, submitting monthly reports as required.
**Requirements:**
- Successful completion of a formal program in ultrasound technology.
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is mandatory.
- American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification is also required.
- Additional registry in abdomen-pelvis, ob-gyn, neonatal heads, or vascular is preferred but not necessary.
**Working Conditions and Physical Demands:**
This position requires exposure to blood-borne pathogens, and heavy physical work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
