Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Patient Care Technician located in Annapolis, MD. The Patient Care Technician will support patients by providing basic bedside care such as bathing, grooming, and feeding. The role involves taking and recording vital signs, assisting nurses with medical equipment, and reporting any significant changes in a patient's condition. The technician will also ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, assist with patient transport within the facility, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Basic patient care skills including bathing, grooming, and feeding
- Ability to take and record vital signs
- Experience assisting nurses with medical equipment
- Skills to report significant changes in a patient's condition
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in an acute care/hospital environment is a plus
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant is required
