Position Objective:
The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, building, and managing both in-person and virtual training experiences to ensure customers can fully leverage the value of Luminis Health’s products, services, and solutions. This role focuses on enhancing knowledge of Luminis Health systems while reinforcing core values and directly contributing to the overall effectiveness and success of Luminis Health offerings. The Training and Development Specialist plays a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of training content and systems, applying adult learning principles to ensure effective learning experiences. This position also involves working in multiple systems to ensure content integrity and flow, while also teaching and emphasizing soft skills such as answering telephones, having crucial conversations, and positively impacting the patient experience. Additionally, the specialist will handle registration activities for training sessions and maintain documentation records of staff training to ensure accurate tracking and compliance.

Required Minimum Experience
The minimum required experience for this role includes 3-5 years of experience in a related field such as training, education, or healthcare.
Candidates should have demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training materials, particularly for adult learners.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS), or similar platforms, is essential.
Experience with Epic systems or similar healthcare applications is preferred, depending on the focus of the role.

- Design, develop, and maintain training content for Luminis Health systems, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and effectiveness in supporting end-users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including credentialed trainers, analysts, IT colleagues, subject matter experts, and the organization, to create and refine training materials for both clinical and non-clinical teams, including soft skills like answering telephones, having crucial conversations, and positively impacting the patient experience.
- Utilize various systems, including Epic, learning management systems (LMS) like HealthStream, and content management platforms, to develop, test, and maintain accurate and cohesive training materials.
- Manage training logistics, including registration, handling materials, scheduling internal and external resources, and ensuring availability of equipment and space.
- Assist in the evaluation of training programs’ effectiveness, using feedback to recommend improvements.
- Develop presentation materials and work with management and principal trainers to promote collaboration and enhance learning experience.
- Maintain accurate training documentation, including registration and completion records, ensuring compliance and tracking progress. Ensure all training materials align with Luminis Health’s privacy, security, and data assurance standards.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering collaboration, demonstrating flexibility, and encouraging open communication.
- Identify opportunities to improve clinical and administrative processes, make appropriate decisions using sound judgment, and continuously improve training initiatives.
- Use Jira to communicate with technical partners and the training team, ensuring collaboration and timely updates on training content development and implementation.
