JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated production scheduler to join our team at Luminite Products Corporation. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules and maintaining a smooth workflow in our manufacturing environment. The production scheduler position is crucial, as it aligns production timelines with customer demands while adhering to The Company’s quality and safety standards.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demands and inventory levels
- Identify potential delays in schedule and alert Sales/Marketing and Operations Manager
- Interact with Operations Manager and Director of Operations on production issues relating to customer jobs
- Utilize company software and tools to monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary
- Enter LPO data into Profit Key
- Schedule and distribute all LPOs and related paperwork to appropriate department
- Maintain master schedule to ensure it is updated and current
- Provide Shipping Clerk with instructions for jobs shipping on any given day
- Provide Receiving Department information required for all bases received (job numbers, inventory numbers, etc.)
- Distribute list of cylinders received to appropriate personnel
- Maintain “active tub file” of all open jobs in production
- Maintain “inventory file” for all open jobs in the system
- Communicate with other departments and teams effectively to ensure alignment on production priorities

Work Environment
The job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Qualifications/Education
An associate’s degree and 1-2 years sales or Customer Service experience is preferred but not required. Outstanding communication and customer service skills are a must. Relevant computer skills include: Contact Management Systems, Excel or Lotus 123 and Microsoft Word.
