Job Title: Inventory and Supply Chain Specialist
Job Purpose: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory and Supply Chain Specialist to manage inventory levels, optimize supply chain processes, and ensure the efficient flow of goods. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment of stock.
- Work closely with suppliers to optimize purchasing strategies and manage lead times.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize storage and distribution processes.
- Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
- Track and report on key supply chain metrics and performance indicators.
- Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to streamline operations.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with demand forecasting and procurement strategies is a plus.
