Production Scheduler
Location: Hartland, WI, Onsite 5 days/week
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, assist in preparing the production schedule, coordinate work efforts, advise if staffing or materials issues will negatively impact scheduling. Coordinate with customer service to communicate changes to schedules. Align materials, engineering, and production efforts to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Creating and maintaining schedules for production, service, and engineering efforts.
- Directing work, offering suggestions for parallel path efforts to surge capacity.
- Attending job release meetings to understand SOW (Scope of Work) and provide recommendations on scheduling and lead times.
- Reviewing service orders for completion, coordinate scheduling across departments.
- Supporting re-prioritization requests, working with appropriate departments to ensure communication of urgent customer needs.
- Understanding capacity by department to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Ability to make informed decisions without immediate oversight.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Requires education generally equivalent to an associate’s degree/certificate and three to five years related experience to become familiar with equipment and processes. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills with excel-based scheduling tools
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (use of Microsoft Navision preferred)
- Experience in standing up ERP a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency scheduling engineered- to-order product
- Familiarity with bills of materials (BOM) and engineering drawings
- Proficient in MS Office
- Familiarity with shipping terms and practices
Communication Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization from individual employee to ownership/executive team.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to create Gantt charts, conduct reverse planning, and perform quick estimates on dates and rough timelines.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply problem-solving skills to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
