We are eager to round out our strong sales team with an exceptional Sales Representative with proven experience (3 years) in growing existing business and exploring new sales opportunities in marine electronics, LED lighting, or electrical systems. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION, 100% ON SITE UNLESS TRAVELING FOR BUSINESS. (Travel is required for this position.)
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain relationships with boat builders, yacht manufacturers, and marine OEMs to drive sales and product adoption.
- Provide technical guidance to customers on Lumitec’s lighting solutions, including installation, integration, and product selection.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support product design-in and ensure successful implementation.
- Assist OEM partners in testing and validating Lumitec products for specific applications.
- Conduct product training and technical workshops for OEM customers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in marine electronics, LED lighting, or electrical systems.
- Prior experience working with engineering and technical product integration.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and close business.
- Think and plan strategically to expand and create new business opportunities.
- Exceed expected sales activities through appointments and follow-up.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- A “customer first” approach to sales and business management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- A Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic and follow through.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Salesforce.com, and internet research.
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in marine manufacturing, boat building, or OEM sales.
- 3 years outside business-to-business territory /field sales experience with proven success.
- Experience selling a technical consumer product.
- Boating experience is a plus.
