Summary
The Lummus Co., Shipping and Receiving Lead, located at our Bourne facility, is an important role that is responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received in the company, so that the warehouse runs smoothly. The SRL is also responsible for creating mailing labels and shipping documents to ensure that all orders have been filled correctly. They will also send, accept, and record the movement of parts, supplies, and materials. Lifting of up to 50lb’s at times is required along with the ability to operate a forklift or pallet moving equipment. Forklift training will be provided to qualified candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing packing and unpacking of shipments.
Preparing shipping documents and creating mailing labels.
Maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Consolidating stock and putting away incoming shipments to proper areas.
Verifies incoming parts against packing list, records shortages and reject per company policies.
Verifies all parts that are crated and packed to ensure product and count is correct.

Basic Requirements:
3 - 5 years of experience working in a leadership position
High school diploma or general education degree
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Some experience in or related knowledge of shipping, receiving, purchasing & inventory
Ability to read, write & comprehend instructions, correspondence & other information
Being able to perform repetitive tasks
Flexible to occasional work late and on weekends
Experience with MS Office, Excel & ability to perform specific shipping/receiving exercises in relevant software
Basic math skills with the ability to use calculator
Self-starter work style
Computer experience (excel, access, outlook), must be able to type
Forklift and pallet jack operation ability
Some experience in or related knowledge of shipping, receiving, purchasing, and inventory
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
Physical duties involved in performing this position include but are not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, crouching, reaching overhead, stooping, kneeling.
Position requires repetitive motion, lifting up to 50 pounds, exerting up to 50 pounds of force to move objects, standing 8-12 hours per day, driving a motor vehicle such as a forklift working from height, and ability to ascend/descend from ladders.
Wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction is required and passing any medical examination associated with the use of PPE when applicable is required.
