Job Overview:
Lummus Technology is seeking a proactive and experienced Global Product Stewardship Manager to lead the development and execution of a global product stewardship program for our catalyst business. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s products comply with global regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements while advancing product safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership and Development:
- Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive global product stewardship strategy tailored to the catalyst business.
- Develop workflows, tools, and best practices to standardize and streamline product stewardship processes across all regions.
- Identify and address gaps in current practices, driving initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to align product stewardship objectives with broader business strategies, including innovation and market expansion.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with chemical regulations such as REACH (EU and UK), Korea REACH, TSCA, CLP, GHS, OSHA HazCom, and other region-specific regulatory frameworks.
- Stay informed about emerging regulations and assess their potential impacts on the business.
SDS and Label Management:
- Oversee SDS authoring, review, and issuance in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure product labels meet all regulatory requirements for transportation, handling, and storage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to support new product development, product launches, and market expansions.
- Provide strategic guidance and serve as a key resource for regulatory-related inquiries from internal teams and external customers.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate records of product registrations, safety data, and regulatory submissions are maintained.
- Prepare detailed documentation for regulatory submissions and provide insights to senior leadership.
Training and Support:
- Deliver product stewardship training and support to internal teams, including sales, customer service, and technical teams.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide expertise on product safety and compliance.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in product stewardship or regulatory affairs in the chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of global chemical regulations and standards (REACH, TSCA, GHS, etc.).
- Experience with SDS authoring software (e.g., WERCS, IUCLID, or SAP EHS).
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Certification in Product Stewardship, or related areas.
- Experience in the chemical catalyst sector or similar specialty chemicals.
- Certification or experience with sustainability standards (e.g., ISO 14001, Life Cycle Assessment).
