Essential Functions
- Orders, receives, and distributes all equipment – stocking shelves and maintaining all inventory.
- Tests equipment before distributing to field colleagues (DSL, Set-top Testing, modems, etc.).
- Acts daily to ensure materials are tracked, prepped, tested, & physically allocated for pickup.
- Distributes equipment so team members can turn up & troubleshoot service with customers.
- Works safely following established policies – trains regularly on equipment, procedures, and installations & repairs.
- Controls costs with efficiencies – evaluating purchases, using materials correctly, and practicing good time management.
- Performs monthly cycle counts and physical hand counts bi-annually, tracking data in Excel.
- Responds to requests from colleagues in the field, inputting data into the appropriate system.
- Contributes admin duties like material management, time reporting, order clearing, and audits.
- May need to travel to other warehouses with appropriate notice.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including departmental and cross-functional projects.
- Solid interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent computer and organizational skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent vendor relations & customer service skills.
- 3 years’ warehouse experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid, fully unencumbered driver’s license.
- Forklift experience & experience with physical inventory and cycle counts preferred.
- Proactive, independent, and ability to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
- Fiber or Telecom industry experience preferred.
- Frequently operates computer, keyboard, and related peripherals.
- Walks, stoops, bends, and lifts up to 75lbs consistently all day.
- Able to operate or learn how to operate a forklift truck.
- Capable of using extension ladders and stepladders safely.
- Able to walk safely and in alignment with specific safety guidelines.
- Near-constant use of sight, speech, hearing, comprehension, and reasoning.
