ESL Teacher Full/Part Time
Lumos Language School is looking for highly qualified ESL teachers to join our team.
We have a dynamic schedule with classes offered both in the morning and evening.
Classes are only offered in person.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in English, education, or a related field
-TESOL/TEFL certification
-Minimum three months’ teaching ESL or other foreign language teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-One year demonstrated experience teaching beginning, intermediate, or advanced academic ESL classes of 12-20 students in-person and/or online
-Experience teaching TOEFL classes and/or advanced grammar
Position Summary:
-You will teach academic ESL courses from a prepared syllabus. Courses offered include listening/speaking, grammar, reading/writing and TOEFL Prep.
-You will assign homework using our specialized homework software.
-You will track grades using our learning management software.
-You will electronically file a daily lesson plan for every class taught.
-You will attend three training meetings each semester to keep up to date on best ESL teaching practices, Lumos policies, and upcoming Lumos events.

What Lumos Offers Teachers:
-Variety of schedules. We offer morning and night sessions Monday through Thursday and a super intensive session on Monday and Tuesday:
Morning: 9:00-1:30
Night: 5:00-9:30
Super Intensive: 8:00-5:00
**Our morning schedule is currently full. We are hiring for night teachers M-Th and super intensive teachers M/T.**
-Classes run Monday through Thursday. Teachers always have Fridays off.
-Paid prep time: Teachers are paid for a half hour of prep per class taught.
-401K: Teachers are offered a 401K with matching contributions up to 3%.
-State-of-the-art facilities:
-Teacher computer in every classroom with full audio/visual capabilities
-Student computer lab available to use during class.
-Cafeteria and teachers’ lounge with individual storage cubbies.
-Teachers receive a Microsoft Office 365 account, which includes Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft apps.
-Competitive Pay: Competitive pay of $19.00/hr to start. Pay increase after the first semester up to $21.00/hr. Annual pay raise consideration approved by HR every March.
