Lumos’s Manager - OSP Strategy & Implementation leads our team of Outside Plant (OSP) Delivery Project Managers who lead technical projects to build our 100% FTTH Network throughout the communities we serve. This position requires a combination of strong leadership, business, and communication skills. Demonstrated Project Management experience is essential for success, with an understanding of task management, engineering & construction processes, budget monitoring, and reporting. This leadership role requires an independent self-starter who can interact with leaders at all levels and works across business units to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions
Leads and supports OSP Delivery Project Management team members. Builds and motivates a high-performing team and identifying appropriate training and coaching opportunities.
Builds and manages effective partnerships with Engineering vendors and internal teams.
Reviews and approves Engineering invoices.
Builds and manages effective relationships with cross-functional business units.
Monitors Market CCD & ECD forecast to plan.
Develops and distributes regular reports on market expansion project status: Dashboards for Sales & Marketing, CCD & ECD productivity, cabinet installs, 3rd party orders.
Supports key initiatives identified by leadership as it relates to COR, Revenue increase, and Densification as approved by leadership.
Manages projects on market expansion, FPP, Special Projects, and cost reduction efforts.
Hosts cross-functional calls with business units to provide and receive market updates.
Review and document Project Management processes, including review of cross-functional processes that affect other business units.
Performs other duties as assigned, including departmental and cross-functional projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Solid people leader: open to giving and taking direction, as well collaborative work styles & a commitment to get the job done. Ability to lead, develop, and support team members.
Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects.
Competent computer and organizational skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Project.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent vendor relations and customer service skills.
Other Experience & Requirements
10 years’ project management experience required.
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proactive, independent, and ability to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
Fiber or Telecom industry experience preferred.
