What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flexible Childcare Teacher position at Luna Academy Preschool & Childcare?
We are looking to hire a childcare teacher substitute who has experience working in a childcare center and who is ready to work*. *Ready for quick hire if we are the right fit for each other!
Luna Academy is a small, private preschool & childcare center located in historic Murray, Utah.
We offer flexible scheduling and as a teacher at Luna Academy, you will NOT work on weekends, evenings, or holidays!
Responsibilities
- As a Flex Teacher, I'm looking for someone RELIABLE, and able to come in ON-TIME AS SCHEDULED. It is absolutely necessary that you show up without last minute call-outs as you are the teacher who will be covering in case I already have someone out. If you are not able to commit to this, we will probably not be a good fit for each other at this time for this position.
- As a substitute with classroom duties it includes the supervision of a group of children, and cleaning of their designated areas. Substitute duties may include an all-day schedule.
- Adhere to standards and safety regulations as established by state licensing and our own center policies/procedures.
Skills
- Consistency, showing up for the children in your care is the most important part of the job!
- Respect and kindness for children, families, coworkers, and self
- Proven experience as a teacher in a childcare center
- Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
- The flexibility and confidence to step into any of the above roles as required.
- Degree in early childhood education preferred but not required; we will train you!
