Job Description
The Academic Leadership Director provides strategic leadership to ensure academic excellence, workforce development, and student success at Luna Community College. This role integrates academic programs with student support services to create a dynamic learning environment that fosters student growth, innovation, and community impact.
This position requires a master's degree in an academic discipline, workforce development, higher education administration, or a related field from an accredited institution; enrollment in a doctoral program is required (Doctorate preferred). The candidate should have a minimum of six years of progressively responsible leadership in higher education, workforce development, continuing education, or a related field.
- Leads the integration of academic, non-credit, and student support services to ensure holistic student success.
- Fosters a culture of transparency, collaboration, and professional growth within instructional services and between instructional services and other areas of the college.
- Maintains and builds relationships with community and other institutions to benefit students and programs.
