What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Quality Assurance Analyst position at Luna Data Solutions, Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract in Austin, TX which can be worked remotely within the state of Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for advanced computer systems analysis and leading a team of testers to manage daily testing operations. You will work closely with project development teams to ensure the quality of software products through detailed analysis, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other materials to create detailed test cases.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated functional and regression test cases, ensuring thorough documentation of issues, test results, and testing summaries.
- Perform manual testing and data validation across various systems.
- Execute advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
- Collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to understand the functionality under test and ensure clear communication of test case automation needs.
- Conduct performance and accessibility testing to ensure applications meet high-quality standards.
- Review user requirements, procedures, and problems to identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems.
- Collaborate with the project team during sprint/release cycles to provide testing effort estimates, resolve defects, and communicate progress and issues.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in testing complex web applications
- 7 years of experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 3 years of proficiency in SQL and database languages
- 2 years of experience with XML, JSON, and API testing
- 2 years of Automation testing experience
Preferred Qualifications:2 years of experience with API testing (SOAP and REST)
- 1 years of Test automation experience with open-source technologies or in-house frameworks
- 1 year experience / familiarity with test frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
- 1 year of experience with performance testing tools like WAPT Pro, JMeter, or similar
- 1 year of experience with Zypher Scale
- 1 year of experience with Jira
