Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening for a Sr. DB2 DBA resource with our public sector industry client located in Austin, TX. *This is a hybrid role in which this resource will work onsite ONE DAY/MONTH. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST, and this resource will work 40 to 50 hours/week.
Role: Sr. DB2 DBA
Role Description:
Provide application support to include analysis of application functions, data processing, resolving data corrections to ensure agency services maintain functions. Position may edit and correct existing applications and/or develop new solutions to remedy situations that may arise. Create support documentation where applicable to define new and existing software.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of DB2 database experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of AIX/Unix/Linux platform experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Shell programming/scripting experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DB2 Z/OS experience.
