We are looking for a Systems Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities :
Perform complex Systems Analyst tasks to support IT projects and production maintenance for client business systems.
Conduct software testing across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Analyze business requirements and create detailed software specifications.
Review, analyze, and develop test plans and scenarios based on business and system requirements to ensure traceability.
Monitor and perform system testing to ensure software quality.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate functionality and usability.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify and document software defects.
Work with developers to coordinate defect resolution and ensure timely solutions.
Contribute to a highly collaborative work environment.
You :
8 years of expertise in gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing software specifications, complex test scenarios, and test plans in collaboration with business and technical teams.
8 years of proficiency in documenting detailed requirements for IT solutions that align with program and user needs.
8 years of background in various documentation techniques including User Stories and Use Cases.
8 years of skill in creating test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and documenting the Requirements Traceability Matrix.
8 years of hands-on involvement with testing mainframe and / or web-based applications.
8 years of proven capability in collaborating with stakeholders and development teams; skilled in facilitating productive meetings to define business requirements and communicate stakeholder needs to technical staff.
8 years of proficiency in executing test plans, assisting team members in performing and completing test activities; coordinating, monitoring, and performing testing, as well as facilitating user acceptance testing.
8 years of expertise in identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects; assisting developers in analyzing and resolving defects.
8 years of proficiency in writing and executing simple SQL statements to verify test results.
8 years of comprehensive understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
Leadership experience as a Test Lead for IT implementation projects preferred.
Competence in presenting to program and IT management, project sponsors, and executive leadership preferred .
Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance, including Tax and Tax Rates preferred .
Practical experience with the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax System (EBS or UTS) for the State of Texas preferred.

This position is remote within Texas; however, the selected candidate must be able to travel to the Austin office for meetings with up to 72 hours' notice when required.
