This role also coordinates, facilitates, and completes all new hire and departure activities, and may evaluate, recommend, and coordinate with vendors that provide supplemental HR processes and services. Success in this role is measured by high productivity, proficient use of HRIS/ATS systems, and effective resourcefulness. HR professionals are expected to communicate organizational policies and programs that support practices that ensure labor law and regulatory compliance. Primary responsibilities and duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Recruitment
- Source, identify, and engage top talent to support a versatile opportunity portfolio (i.e. product development, SBIR contract support, and administrative positions).
- Provide end-to-end recruitment support to hiring managers including posting active opportunities, applicant/resume review, phone screenings, candidate recommendations, and interview coordination.
- Guide hiring managers and candidates through the recruitment process and ensure accurate activity dispositioning in HRIS/ATS.
- Ensure all open opportunities are accurately posted to all job boards
- Update job advertisements with the use of graphic design software and/or other resources (i.e. Canva, PowerPoint…etc.)
- Update and maintain job descriptions
- Identify, coordinate, and participate in various recruiting events
- Creation and maintenance of employee files
- Draft offer letters
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires.
- Conduct new hire welcome and orientation
- Support HR functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management.
- Provide administrative support for HR-related projects and initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, hiring managers, and team members.
- Communicate effectively with candidates, providing a positive and professional experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HR and recruitment activities.
Required Experience Level - Intermediate
- Bachelor’s degree in HR related field or experience equivalent
- 2-5 years of HR related experience
- Ability to frequently work independently with minimal oversight and collaborate cross-departmentally with minimal supervisory support
- Demonstrated experience in occasionally coordinating and leading HR projects
- Ability to analyze HR related data and convey complex information concisely and effectively
- Due to government contracting regulations, U.S. Citizenship is a firm requirement.
This role primarily functions as a high-level coordinator and does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment
- This is role directly supports the workforce and is employee facing; therefore, it is primarily an on-site position. At the discretion of the supervisor, and with secure and reliable company equipment and software, the duties associated with the responsibilities of this role may occasionally be completed remotely.
- This role is primarily sedentary.
- Occasional travel between company locations, recruiting activities, conferences, and related other related events is required.
- The role involves working in a laboratory environment and interacting with technical staff.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs may be required.
